How to Protect Your Energy to Stay Energized All Day

Are you feeling depleted or energized after a busy day?

Most people would say depleted and go on with their evening without wondering why or how to change this feeling of exhaustion.

I speak with women all the time who say they come home feeling like they just need a quiet evening, not wanting to do anything else for the rest of the day. They have spent all their inner energy and now they’re exhausted.

I want to let you in on a little secret…

It is totally possible to come home after a long day and feel energized!

If you think about it – Most days are filled with exchanges of energy between yourself and other people. Every time you interact with someone online or in person you are using your inner energy.

Everything is energy.

Interacting with others at work is energy. Giving a presentation to a group is energy. Negotiating with the kids to eat up their breakfast in the morning is energy.

All of it is energy.

That energy cannot be destroyed, only transformed (and that has been known for a very long time), but it’s often only thought of when it comes to external events and processes.

But, the same holds true for your inner energy.

How you manage your inner energy is the key to feeling energized, calm and happy.

I used to come home exhausted from a day at work to an evening full of chores at home.

Not being connected at all to what my level of inner energy was at the time, or how I had been using it (up) all day, or even the idea that I can impact my own inner energy.

I wasn’t aware that I had spent my day constantly giving my energy away.

Do you feel that way too? That at the end of the day you feel like a squeezed sponge and you wish you could just sit down for the rest of the evening?

Want to know how to protect your energy instead of giving it away?

Simple practices to Protect Your Energy:

1. The Crown Pull – super effective when your brain feels tired.

This practice is perfect when you have brain fog and the mind feels like sirup (I’m sure you can relate to that feeling).

A) Sit on a chair and place your fingers of both hands along the front of the forehead, fingertips touching.

B) Inhale deeply through the mouth, move your fingers apart stretching the skin, exhale through the mouth.

C) Place your hands on top of your head, Inhale and move the hands and fingers apart stretching the skin on top of your head and exhale.

D) Place your hands on the back of your head, a deep breath again and move your hands apart. Lastly place hands on your neck and move hands apart during a deep breath through your nose and exhale through mouth.

E) Feel your mind clear.

2. The Zip up – keep your energy to You! Don’t give it away.

This practice is so good if you want to protect your energy and keep it to you instead of giving it away to someone else.

A) Place your hands cupped in your lap with your palms up.

B) Inhale through your nose and start moving your hands up along your midline.

C) Bring your hands up over your head, still cupped.

D) Start the exhale as your palms now move face down towards your lap, still cupped.

E) Repeat 3 times.

Feel your energy restored.

3. Calm and Joy Tapping – connect with your calm and joy instantly.

If you don’t have a couple of minutes to spend, tapping these two points helps to access instant inner energy. These two practices are giving you instant connection to your inner peace and joy.

A) Find the soft area on your hand between the “pinkie” finger and the ring finger.

B) Tap this area 30 seconds with your pointer and middle finger of the other hand. Inhale and exhale deeply while doing this.

C) Next, find the 3rd eye point between your eyebrows.

D) With the middle finger of either hand, tap that area 30 seconds while inhaling and exhaling through the nose.

Your feelings are energy. Expand on positive feelings!

4. The Hook Up – this is the ultimate re-charge and connector to your inner energy when you feel a bit off.

A) Put your middle finger at the 3rd eye point between your eye brows.

B) The other middle finger at your navel.

C) Put a little bit of pressure on both points and a sensation of pulling upwards.

D) Long inhales through your nose and long exhales through your mouth 6 times.

Feel your energy align and feel energized.

Your inner energy leadership is overlooked as a factor in stress management and mental health issues.
