Are you feeling depleted or energized after a busy day?
Most people would say depleted and go on with their evening without wondering why or how to change this feeling of exhaustion.
I speak with women all the time who say they come home feeling like they just need a quiet evening, not wanting to do anything else for the rest of the day.
They have spent all their inner energy and now they’re exhausted.
I want to let you in on a little secret…
It is totally possible to come home after a long day and feel energized!
If you think about it – Most days are filled with exchanges of energy between yourself and other people. Every time you interact with someone online or in person you are using your inner energy.
Everything is energy.
Interacting with others at work is energy. Giving a presentation to a group is energy. Negotiating with the kids to eat up their breakfast in the morning is energy.
All of it is energy.
That energy cannot be destroyed, only transformed (and that has been known for a very long time), but it’s often only thought of when it comes to external events and processes.
But, the same holds true for your inner energy.
How you manage your inner energy is the key to feeling energized, calm and happy.
I used to come home exhausted from a day at work to an evening full of chores at home.
